Welcome to the Battlegroup 2020 website.

Battlegroup 2020 is a three days long airsoft military simulation event. The event will be held in Padasjoki in the areas of the Finnish defence forces, the municipality of Padasjoki and the city of Hämeenlinna. The event area offers a large fighting area and extensive road network. Also the combined area enables the use of various vehicles such as armored, wheeled and boats. We have previously organized three medium-sized events and the TSTOS 19 event on Padasjoki.

Based on feedback, our own observations, a new game area, and changed collaborative deals from earlier events, we will change and improve many of the things which are mentioned below. The rest of changes you can find by studying this website:

Development areas:

  • The size of the game area will change. We aim to focus our efforts on wider areas, avoiding traffic congestions and providing better vehicle gameplay. There will be areas in the game area where movement or battles are restricted, either narrally or for security reasons.
  • The development of Status.ehasa.org system will continue as well as the blue-force tracker.
  • Foreign players must register and pay their game fee 2 weeks before the event.
  • Food services have been outsourced to our partner Dogs & Deli. We will develop our food service based on the feedback we have received. The food ordering service for the faction bases is available.
  • We want to transfer the management of each faction in the hands of the players themselves. We need at least two voluntary commanders to organize the event.
  • Based on the feedback we have received, we have decided to change the duration of the event. Games start on Friday and end on Sunday.
  • UN-faction returns to the event. The purpose of the UN is to control ingame-action of the players/factions. The UN is given the necessary powers/mandate to intervene in "war crimes" by penalizing those of responsible.
  • The factions' camouflage restrictions will be lifted meaning that the factions are only distinguished by armbands.
  • The rules governing the transport of personnel have been clarified. The transportation of personnel on trailers is prohibited.
  • The faction bases, including the management offices of the factions, are offgame areas. Spying of the opponent and the benefits of it are implemented in other ways.
  • We allocate resources to the tasks of the figting factions, which is why civilian activities rely more on players themself this year.
